Pretty Little Things

You can't see them but little female bees were swarming all over the basil pictured above...
It was the coolest thing!

None of these beauties came home with me seeing as it's best to wait until the end of February before planting but that didn't stop me from admiring. I did treat myself to a little rosemary bush which I will pot today and display by my front door. Isn't there an old wives tale about that?

Tell me friends, what's your favorite flower, herb, plant? I think mine is Night Blooming Jasmine...
I planted two of them a few years back and they've grown like crazy! When in bloom you can smell them around the entire block. Pure nirvana!

  5. You know I've never been a fan of gardening, I really just admired it from afar, but watching your blog the past few days has made me long for a lil flower bed! It's supposed to snow in NY tonight, but I think I'm going to stop at the super market and buy a sunflower or something to brighten up my dreary night! Thanks for inspiration Wendy!! =)

  16. Hello Wendy.....Ohhhh, I love so many herbs and plants. Jasmine, is, indeed, quite gorgeous as is honeysuckle. I love gardenias (but they are impossibly hard to grow), hyacinths, and lilacs, too.

Thanks so much for following my blog! I'm your newest follower, too! So keep in touch! Susan

  18. So nice to see flowers this time of year! We are in a deep freeze, so no flowers for us! I do love pansies. I love their little faces and delicate scent. My favorite herb is lavender. I just love the scent. Have a happy week! xx

  19. I have a tough time keeping flowers alive, but I do have some basil growing on our balcony. I love basil... but I really love chives and rosemary too! Maybe I'll try and grow some in a pot this spring too. :)

  20. My favorite flowers... that's hard because I love so many. Portulaca and Morning Glories are probably my favorites. And rosemary is my favorite herb. I love your photos - they're beautiful!
