Thrifted Style: Spring On The Brain

The photos don't do this cheerful little crocheted tote justice.
The colors are vibrant and the piece is in mint condition, in fact I don't think it was ever used. I paid $6.00 for it at Goodwill.

Due to 80 degree weather, spring time is on my brain. I have an overwhelming urge to start my garden (and get a henna tattoo) but fear that we might face one or two more freezes. Usually by the end of February the Florida temps reach between 60-80 degrees and stay that way until the end of April. By May it starts to get hot. By June the a/c is cranking.

Christmas time is amazing but once it's over I'm ready for green grass, flowers, sunshine and sand....

What's it like where you're at, friends? Are you as ready for spring to get here as I am?

  4. The bag is gorgeous! Good find, girl!

Well, hell, if you want spring to come, imagine me...everything looks so ugly around here with part snow, part brown grass. The snow has melted just enough to show all the dog poo. ;)

  6. Wendy! we have 12 inches of SNOW! 80°? I want that right now!!!! Well that would be foolish, too because that would cause a flood right now. I need to fly right now to FL!!

Thank you for your nice comment and fun feelings you gave me. I am smiling. I am smiling.

  13. This is so adorable.
Sadly, it's pretty much summer weather in the south right now. Not that I don't love warm weather, but I'm definitely a winter girl. 70 degrees in January isn't cutting it!

  20. Cheers from follower # 333!!! Love your tote bag. What a good score! We are lucky to have the snow melted in our driveway by the end of May! I always have a few forced bulbs in the house to bring an early spring (well at least on the windowsill.)

  21. Such a pretty, colourful purse. As soon as Christmas is over I am ready for Spring, but alas, that isn't to be...I live in England, where the Spring isn't even really sure whether it's Spring. So the weather at the moment is just a tad cold and we're expecting snow on Monday! So Spring hopes will have to remain in my head for now Xx

  22. Pretty, pretty tote - gotta love Goodwill (miss it like hell). I'm envious of your warmer temps, Wendy. But it's unseasonably warm here, above zero, and no snow (except in the mountains). All I want after Christmas is sun, sun sun but sadly it is often grey here this time of year. P.S. Thanks for kind message on my blog! xo
