Monday

How old would you be if you didn't know how old you were?
~Satchel Paige

I found this quote and it made me think... My answer: Somedays I definitely feel 44, somedays 18 and somedays 12 (those days are usually the most fun as I have no problem embracing my immature side... Whoever says whoopee cushions are lame has obviously never planted one under their significant others chair at the dinner table. Just saying).

Taking a cue from Musings Of An Unapologetic Dreamer (a blog I love to read because Keith makes you think) I'd love to know how old you would be if you didn't know how old you were?

  5. Lately I feel like I'm 83...I'm tired and achy...no good!

I've struggled with this my whole life. I want to feel 27 so bad...but for some reason I just don't. I need spring to come to rejuvenate!! =)

  7. There are some days in which I feel terrible old...
Anyway, I want to be forever young, like in Bob Dylan's song.

  10. I think mine would change depending on my mood as well. My sense of humor can be that of a 10 year-old, but I love smart comedy as well.

    Whoopee cushions are always funny.

  11. Thank you for the shout-out :)

Let's see...that's a tough question. I want to say 20 because I definitely feel young at heart!!

But then somedays I wake up and I'm like "dude, you're definitely not 20 anymore" :)

  13. I think I'd be 42 - old enough to be settled in a lot of things and young enough for active adventures - yep, I'd be 42 - or 11.

  14. Good one, Wendy. It changes daily for me. Today I'm feeling about 25. By the end of the day, I might be feeling my true age of 38.

  15. When I work on my dollhouse miniatures or see my dolls, I feel just like a little kid again and it's terrific.

When I see gray hairs that need to be dyed and thinning hair, I feel old.

So what's the solution? When I see the grays, run for the dollhouse. ha haha Susan p.s. Is that you with the hula hoop? Nice job. Susan

    1. LOL - no, not me. A young girl that was hanging out on in the market square in St. Augustine. I loved her carefree style and thought she would be a great subject to photograph.

  16. Hmmm... I don't feel old at all and I don't consider my age to be old so I guess I like the way I am now!

  17. Wonderful quote! :)
And I agree, the times feeling like around 12 are the funniest! :)
Wish there were more of them...

  19. I was just looking at hula hoops at the dollar store the other day. A few years ago my friend and I were hula hooping as part of a chakra clearing exercise...don't ask. :) It's funny, but I found it really hard to do. For the most part in my head I'm 25... Don't tell.

  20. This is such an interesting quote to think about! I love to sew and prefer going to bed early during the work week, which definitely makes me feel like a grandma, and then sometimes I definitely still feel like I am 10 (uhh stuffed animals, yes please :)
Hope you're having a great start to your week!

  21. Cute pictures. I definitely can't get past the early twenties. I miss the outdoor concerts, going to university (ie. not having to work and make money every day) and just the "newness" of things. That being said, I wish I could be more childish sometimes. I'm not a big practical joker and it might be more fun for my kids if I was. BTW, I love Keith's blog too. That guy gets me thinking! :)

    1. I LOVEEEEEE practical jokes. I feel the need to send you a started kit.

    2. You have a starter kit for practical jokes? You must be fun to live with. ;)

    3. Fortunately my boyfriend is as immature, if not more so, than I am.
A starter kit would consist of a pen that squirts water (discovered those in 9th grade -lots of fun), fake poop (because it's fake poop), naturally a whoopee cushion, and gum that turns your teeth and tongue blue for a little bit. Good stuff. :D

  22. I love hooping. Been a hoop dancer for seven years. I've just started making my own custom hoops for sale. I love that you posted images of a hooper. It's so much fun...and it keeps you young.

  23. I would be 33! In fact I feel 33. I am about as healthy these days as I was at 33. I was horribly unhealthy at 40-45.(bronchitis all year, pneumonia, had to have braces or next 10 years would be getting dentures) After 45 I stopped consuming hamburgers and milkshakes(diary in general) and have had the past 15 years to be so similar to my 30's. Yay! (in case you missed it...I turned 60 a week ago) :D

  24. I absolutely agree with you! It all depends on the moment, spirit and people who you are with. Time is very relative.

  25. That girl rocks! I just enjoyed watching her do her thing....great shots! Ah what age...well I'm 35 gonna be 36 this year so I would for sure jump around if I could....28 cause that's when I wasn't in mom jeans or a mom car. I had time to go to the city for shows and stay out late. Then I would jump way back to when I was 9. All of my brothers and sisters together again under mom and dads roof. Then I would jump back to 35 to kiss and tuck my beans into bed! I so had fun with this...maybe more if I had a whoopy cushion! Ha!!!

  26. very thought provoking quote there, man how to decided.

  27. Hmm there's days when I feel like a six year old, and others when I'm like a grandma. :) I guess I'd have to say something between, which is my real age - 25.

  28. My age changes throughout the day! I'm getting up there in the numbers and it is a little difficult to fathom at times. I can accept my age but I refuse to give in to it. When I try to hula hoop (and I have tried lately) I feel like a 10 year old. I couldn't do it then either!

  29. love these pics! as I was 13 years old, I did hula hoop 6hours long :D it was fun!
well I like your blog, there are sooo many beautiful photos *.* wow

  30. I guess it depends on the day. Mostly I still feel like a 16 year old. In reality I am 58. Did I say that? I still like to dance. xx

  31. I tend to be 35 most of the time even though I am over 60.
    Some days I am 14.
There is nothing like a good harmless practical joke and a good honking laugh.

  32. I know the feeling, age is so defying, its good to be free and decide each day how you want to feel and react to life a day at time. Some days I am mature others not so much regardless of my age

  33. Boy, I still feel like I'm 22 or so - I feel like I finally have the life I started dreaming about at that age! Love the hula hooping - I need to get one of those! Keith is great, isn't he? :)

  34. This is such an interesting thing to think about! I think I change by the day too!! I guess the good thing I have going for me is having lots and lots of energy, which would result in being about 16. Other than that I'm all over the place!

  35. Enjoyed this quote. We'd probably be old geezers since we are just not always the risk-takers we used to be! Loving the hula hoop video. Thanks for sharing! Xo, M&K at BT

  37. Well, that was a very good quote, I have not heard it before, and in my case I would say about 10 years younger, sometimes 20 years older, but most of all a lot of years younger than I am.
Great photo here, and i will come back...and thx for stopping by my place and follow my humble blog.

    Have a great day.

  38. That is a fantastic quote! It's definitely going in as one of my favorites!! I definitely think in the same bandwidth as you - some days I feel 34, other days 21, and some days 16 and other days 50. :)
