*Motivation board. :)
The majority might hate Mondays but I love them! Each one represents a fresh start (plus I usually have a very light work day or the entire day off which means a quiet house and time to regroup from the weekend).
I'm entering into week 4 of clean eating/ running ... Week 3 kind of sucked. I wasn't horrible but there was definitely a lack of discipline. I noticed that when I was stressed (which was plenty - thank you menstrual cycle and big full moon) I wanted to go for a run. My body and mind craved exerting all of the pent up energy through exercise and sweat (a very good thing). My pants are a lot looser and my calves are showing definition. The scale says I've dropped about 5 lbs, not as much as I'd like but better than nothing.
On a different note, the weather is slowly (like, really slow) getting cooler. And by cooler I mean temps in the low 90's accompanied by low humidity and a steady breeze. I'm longing for that first day that I wake up and walk outside with the dogs to be greeted with crisp air. In Florida you can tell the difference by the smell. It can be cooler out but the air still has a humid scent to it as well as a stickiness. When fall truly graces us, the air is dry and smells clean - it jolts you awake, which I love. If you live here then you know what I'm talking about. Also, you will see every woman wearing her boots (even if the high is in the 80's which is kind of humorous) and people will pack the malls, bars and restaurants. It's a predictable pattern, one that I can't wait to be a part of ... Boots and all.
